Starting with this release, we implemented a new build system and this one step of a bigger change coming in a future version. Now we use containers for the build, which makes VoipNow easier to upgrade for our customers. As for our engineering, this change enhances our ability to ship new versions faster.
Starting with this release we provide support for AlmaLinux OS 8.4 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.
The new 5.5.5 version includes lots of Open Source software libraries updates, a new PHP version, and a new encoder. All these greatly improve the speed for server requests and bring along a huge performance boost.
